Supporting Workplace Health & Wellbeing

What is a wellbeing champion?

NHS England and NHS Improvement (NHSEI) define health and wellbeing champions as: people at all levels of the NHS who promote, identify, and signpost ways to support the wellbeing of their colleagues. A wellbeing champion is a member of your workforce who supports the wellbeing of staff within NHS organisations.

Who are the Health and Wellbeing champions for my area?

How do I access my Health and Wellbeing champion?

Your local Health and Wellbeing champion will be looking to arrange sessions with each practice to speak to staff. In those sessions, the champion can offer support, share useful resources and give you time to reflect and be aware of your physical and mental health.

If you require any help or support please do not hesitate to contact her via the above email address.

For more information about current health and wellbeing projects and resources please take a look at the news feed below.

This week has been challenging for everyone, due to the heat!   But I’m sure you would agree the water cooler has really made a difference and helped to improve staff wellbeing.  With that in mind I would like to thank the PCN for providing all three surgeries with water coolers, so every member of staff has access to chilled water and a special thank you to Claire Brown who has worked hard to make this happen.

As you are aware our PCN had two Health and Wellbeing Champions, Grace George and myself, unfortunately due to work and personal commitments Grace has decided to step down from the role, going forward I am your point of contact.

Hope you all enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend.  If you are at a loose end, see below bands in the park.  I have been to a couple of these over the years, they are free events the most you have to pay is parking.  It’s usually close to a kid’s playground and there’s always an ice cream van around, I have also seen people take well behaved dogs.  It’s a cheap afternoon in the fresh air for all the family.
