Services For Those In Need This Christmas
Many of our patients may need some extra help at Christmas especially those from low-income families. Please take a look below for a selection of organisations that offer services on the run up to Christmas from food delivery and gift drops to low-cost activities and events.
Christmas Dinner Home Delivery (Covering the Nuneaton area only)
This Christmas, The Nuneaton Christmas lunch group, will be delivering hot Christmas dinners to those who would otherwise be alone, regardless of age, circumstances, or status.
To apply, please fill out their form, which can be found HERE. Then email it to nuneaton_xmas@outlook.com. Alternatively, you can print it out and drop off the completed form by hand to their reception as detailed on the form which can be found HERE.
Holiday Activities and Food for Children from Low Income Families
This programme is funded by the Department for Education (DfE) to provide young people who are in full-time education (Reception to Year 11) and eligible for benefits-related free school meals with access to enriching activities and meals, for free, during the three main school holidays.
The Atherstone Community Kitchen
This service delivers meals for £5 and can deliver for those unable to get out and about.
EdibleLinks - Social Supermarket
They do various deals and hauls through the week. They are advertised on their Facebook page, including items available and when they can be collected. However, it’s worth noting that they are not a food bank. They use supermarket surplus to help save money on essentials. Donations required for goods range from £5 to £10 per customer.

Atherstone Christmas Tractor Lights Run
This festive illumination will visit Atherstone on Friday, December 12, 2025, starting at approximately 4:30 PM. This is a free event and a great opportunity to gather the family by the roadside with a thermos of hot chocolate and watch the illuminations go by.
Lights in the Mead
A free Christmas light display in Argents Mead, Hinckley, that runs from November 21, 2025, to January 6, 2026 thousands of twinkling fairy lights in hues of green, blue and pink around the trees, pathways and bandstand in Argents Mead, Hinckley. The lights will be lit in zones starting at 5:00 PM on November 21, with all lights on by 6:30 PM. They will then be on every evening until January 6.
We Care UK
One of the projects they are running over Christmas period, as well as their emergency food parcels, is a 'Christmas Toy Appeal'. Toys can be requested through the website for families in need.

- Carriers of Hope – You can drop gift off at their warehouse or mail to them directly
- Action For Children – Be a secret Santa for a child in need.
- Give Hope – Donate an item by buying it for a child directly from their website.
- Salvation Army – You can support your local Christmas Present Appeal by finding your nearest appeal and donating new, unwrapped toys and gifts for children who might not otherwise receive a Christmas present. The gifts will then be wrapped and distributed to those in need.
- Children In Care In North Warwickshire – Christmas toy appeal, TOFs in Atherstone has a collection box near the tills for anyone wishing to donate a gift to children in care.
