Did you know that our ARRS roles participate in a large variety of events and services based on health and well-being to help the people of our community?

Some of the events offered are created and led by our dedicated ARRS roles team members. One notable initiative is Pets As Therapy, which is thoughtfully spearheaded by our health and wellbeing coaches. This program brings trained therapy animals into healthcare settings, promoting emotional support and enhancing the overall patient experience. In addition to leading these specific initiatives, our team also actively attends and collaborates on various events organized by external partners, ensuring that we can effectively support our patients and foster a holistic approach to their care and well-being.

For a list of the groups we are involved with please see below:

  • Cohort4 Ladies Group (Atherstone): Supporting women who have experienced abuse, mental ill health, or disabilities. Weekly activities include meditation, wellness, craft sessions, and Walk n Talk. They also provide help with forms and benefits.
  • White Hart Community Group (Atherstone): A charity offering food parcels and weekly sessions including crafts, computer clubs, woodwork workshops, and allotment sessions.
  • Sikh Temple (Nuneaton): A day centre with well-being and exercise sessions, offering nutritious food and monthly visits from the Sky Blues and Social Prescribing team.
  • Pets as Therapy: Monthly drop-in sessions with therapy dogs, promoting relaxation and offering support for those dealing with anxiety, depression, and loneliness.
  • St Benedict’s Community Hub (Atherstone): A 50+ lunch club with free refreshments and activities such as Tai Chi, yoga, bingo, singing, and guest speakers.
  • Dementia Memory Café: A safe, supportive space for people living with dementia, offering weekly activities and talks from outside organizations like the Mental Health team.
  • Cohort4 Men’s Group (Atherstone): A safe space for men to connect over breakfast and talk about their experiences in a supportive environment.
  • Hood Lane Farm (Arley): A venue with a variety of events such as mindfulness sessions, glass-blowing workshops, and tea and chat friendship groups.
  • WeCareuk: Providing emergency food parcel deliveries across Atherstone.
  • Menshed (Nuneaton): A woodwork workshop for men, offering a place for practical hobbies and building friendships within the community
